Privacy
Your reading is your business.
We built Parley so you don't have to trade privacy for a decent voter guide. Here's what that means in practice.
What we collect
Almost nothing. Specifically: aggregate, non-identifying analytics about which pages get visited, how long they take to load, and basic device class (desktop vs phone). No IP address, no fingerprint, no email, no cookies for tracking.
What stays only on your device
- Your selected county and location.
- Your quiz answers (issues, priorities, dealbreakers).
- Your saved ballot picks across cycles.
- Your language preference.
All of these live in your browser's localStorage. They never reach our servers. To wipe everything, click Reset on any page that offers it, or clear site data in your browser.
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, paid or otherwise.
- Set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Pass your IP to third parties.
- Build a profile of you across visits.
Third parties
Parley loads Google Fonts. That request can reveal an IP address to Google. We use no other third-party scripts on user pages. Payments (for Plus tiers) are handled by Stripe and follow Stripe's privacy policy; we never see card numbers.
Children
Parley is intended for users 16 and over (PA pre-registration age). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
