Accessibility
Built to be readable.
A voter guide that excludes voters fails its purpose. Here's what we do, and what we're still working on.
What works
- Full keyboard navigation through every page.
- Visible focus rings on all interactive elements.
- Semantic HTML (real headings, lists, buttons, landmarks).
- Color contrast meets or exceeds WCAG AA.
- Reduced-motion respected: animations defer to your OS preference.
- Mobile screen-reader tested with VoiceOver and TalkBack.
Known limitations
- The 3-minute quiz is fully keyboard-accessible but the progress affordance is small.
- Some fact-check tri-column layouts collapse to stacked panels on screen readers; we're tightening this.
- Live countdown numbers update every minute; if you use a screen reader you'll hear them announce.

Standards
We target WCAG 2.2 AA. The site is built with semantic HTML and ARIA only where it adds value. Our typography uses Inter and Source Serif at sizes that scale comfortably with browser zoom.
